Getting RMAN errors while trying to create a Standby Database using RMAN.

This error is confusing.  I had created the physical standby database using RMAN at least twice now. But the archive log gap was further back than the archived copies of the archive redo log files that were available.  So I made a current backup and was using it to create the database.  This time I received the strangest errors yet.

channel ORA_AUX_DISK_1: restoring control file
ORA-19625: error identifying file /oracle/backup/ems_30/CONTROL_FILE_BACKUP_STANDBY_NO_RECOVERY
ORA-27037: unable to obtain file status
IBM AIX RISC System/6000 Error: 2: No such file or directory
Additional information: 3
ORA-19600: input file is control file  (/oracle/backup/ems_30/CONTROL_FILE_BACKUP_STANDBY_NO_RECOVERY)

Howdy, Stranger!
