how to add months to an existing depreciation method like STL

 Hi,

   Please advise how can I add additional months to an existing year in STL depreciation method. For ex. now I can see 8 years 0 months. I need to add 6 months to the existing 8 years for STL depreciation method. Your help would be appreciated.
