RAC storage support for AIX LPAR

 Hello,

We are planning to deploy RAC 10.2.0.4 (64) on IBM Aix LPAR 5.3 ml09 (64) using Clusterware with RAW and RAC DB with ASM.

I want to make sure for storage support with HBA and Virtual Server I/O (VIO). Some doc say that HBA can be used on VIO and other not (dedicated for each LPAR).

Oracle certify site say :

VIOS with RAC support includes use of the Virtual SCSI feature for ASM data storage with 10gR2 and 11gR1 on AIX 5.3 only

so i'm a bit confused. Can someone share experience please ?
