change standby to primary oracle 8

I know that data base version 8 it´s out of support, but I have a client that has it and the problem it´s next: he has a primary data base and three in stand by and now what he wants it´s take out the primary and promote one of the strand by as primary I can´t find any document who help me to generate the job, does anybody can tell me where can I find a documentation like that or how can I do it?
