Implementation Bar Coding System in Oracle Inventory system - Apps version 11.5.10.2

 Hi All,

We are planning to implement Bar Coding System in our Oracle Inventory Module.  Currently, we are printing Item Tag with information like Item No., Description, PO No., Qyt, Subinventory, Locator, etc.  and this is attached to specific item.  Generation of Item Tag is when there is PO-Receipt Deliver.  Since there are lots of mismatched inventories vs. actual item, Management is proposing this Bar Code System, this is to lessen inventory error and to speedy issue transaction.

With this plan, we are planning to convert existing Item Tag into Item Tag Bar coded so that with the issuance of the item, we'll just use the bar code scanner to eliminate the encoding of Subinventory and Locator of the item.
