PA Periods weekly/Montly

Client is currently going to use Project manufacturing,costing,billing later we are going to introducte PJRM,Project management.They are not sure on maintaining weekly PA periods.
If they are using PJRM,project managment later is it advisable to use weekly periods?What is the impact of maintaining weekly or montly periods.
