Can we have advance receipts against project?

 Hi All,

Can  we have advance receipts against project? Senario is we receive advance from our customer before execution of project. Now we want to collect the advance keep it in the account of the project. So that when ever required we can find out the amount received and amount to be billed. On each receipt can I have a project reference?

Please guide me on this.
