Question Regarding Note 316365.1, Section 4, Product Specific Tasks, Advanced Planning and Schedulin

Upgrading from 11.5.9 to 11.5.10 CU2 note 316365.1 section 4 product specific tasks Advanced Planning and Scheduling. If when we first upgrade to 11.5.10 CU 2 from 11.5.9 we just want to maintain the same functionality as in 11.5.9, do we need to follow note 265209.1?We don't want to implement any new functionality just yet but do want to continue to run Continuous Collections
