Oracle Database Enterprise/Standard/Standard One for R12

Currently running 11.5.9 Financials (GL and AR) Fin PackF RDBMS 9.2.0.6 on Red Hat Enterprise AS 2.1 (Single node).

Planning to upgrade to R12.1 11gR1 on SLES10

Is it a requirement for the 11g database to be the Enterprise edition ?

Can we have R12 run on 11g Standard or Standard One Edition ?

 Any documentation  for this would be helpful.
