duplicate db to a host using a different operating system

Hi,

I need to buy a machine for our restore/duplicate db test.

We have an AIX, Linux and WINxx environment.

I would like to set up the new machine with Linux and then install one OracleHome for every Oracle version we are using and an ASM,

so everything should be prepared to duplicate any DB in case of an error.

Is there anything to be considered to do a duplicate db on a different operating system, like endian format?
