Istore Multiple Language Implementation

 We are currently having a Single Site architecture and we do want to maintain the same architecture.But in our Istore site we want to have an option of having Multiple languages only for the text messages and error popups and messages..instead of doing a complete installation of the Languages and Currency.
We are planning to do the translation of IBE* messages ourselves so that we don't require new Language to be installed.
Can anyone suggest any ideas on how to implement the changes in IStore to display in multiple languages.
Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated.
