Pros and Cons of Putting Archived Logs in internal disks

edited Jun 30, 2009 3:02AM in Database Administration (MOSC) 10 commentsAnswered
In a situation where the SAN storage is always full with backups, and it's also the destination of archived logs, when we have some lack of space due to failed backups, the DB hangs because it cannot write the archived logs. Is it a good idea to put archived logs in internal disks? The local storage will only have the archived logs for almost an hour since we back them up every hour.

Thanks,
LMC.
