Oracle RDBMS Patches on AIX 5.3

Hi All,

I am new to Oracle administrator. Please help better understand my questions.

I had downloaded and installed Oracle 10g release 2 on AIX 5.3. After successfull installation it shows version as 10.2.0.1. What '1' represent in version output? Do i need to apply additional patches on top of what i have? When i did simple serch on metalink under patches it doesn't shows any patches except if i select option 'ANY'. Please advise.
