Program Management Functionality

  Is there any documentation/white paper on Program Management functionality of the application? Is it part of the Project Management or Project Foundation user guides? I have been researching these, but could not find any.

 

I have a few questions on this functionality;

 

1.      Is it only a reporting functionality and if so, are there any restrictions in linking projects to and de-linking projects from a Program project.

2.      Can we keep a project as part of a program for some time and de-link it and link it to another program?

3.      What all types of reporting does this provide?

4.      Are there any criteria as to what kind of projects (belonging to the same project owning org as the program project or any such criteria) can be grouped and linked to a program?
