CRS_STAT and SRVCTL STATUS still show states as ONLINE after instances crash

 Hi,

I am running some tests on a four node 10gR2 v4 (10.2.0.4) RAC on OpenVMS v8.3-1H1.

As part of my testing, I killed the PMON process on each instance to see how RAC responds to a background process failure.  The instances crash as I would expect, but what I don't understand is what the CRS_STAT and SRVCTL STATUS commands show me.

I have included the output of these commands along with the last few lines of the Alert Logs for each instance.

I don't understand why the clusterware considers the instances and databases to still be ONLINE when they are not online in any useable sence.
