Changing fiscal calendars

My company needs to switch from a fiscal calendar that starts in Feb to a fiscal calendar that starts to July.  I guess in general, are their some documents out there that tell you all the steps you need to completed to switch to a new fiscal calendar?  We have GL and AP implemented.
