Host System password change

We recently changed the password on one of our host systems.  The same credentials are used for backups using db console.  We updated the password   under Backup/Recovery Settings   Recovery Catalog Settings for the recovery catalog but it doesn't seem to take and we cannot perform backups. 


Does anyone know of documentation regarding updating host credentials for recovery catalog settings within DB Console?
