Installing additional RAM on Database Server - Questions

DB:  10.2.0.4.0, Standard Edition OS:  Oracle Enterprise Linux 5 Update 2 (x86-64)

I have some questions about adding more physical RAM to a Linux server.  We spec'd the box with 16Gb of RAM and that's what I did the OS and DB installs with.  We came across an opportunity to put more RAM in our database boxes and this server is getting an additional 16Gb RAM added to it.  I'm still learning Linux and wanted to clarify a couple of things before the RAM gets installed.

Pre-installation
1.)  Are there any settings (GRUB, BIOS, OS, etc.) that will need to be modified or verifed in preperation for the additional RAM being installed?

Howdy, Stranger!
