Why RAC?

 Hello. I'm an Oracle DBA, I have 10GR2 installed in Red Hat Linux platform.
My db has 2 instances with 20Gb each one.
The performance of my db is very good but I'm worried because the users and developers are everyday asking for new funcionalities.
I would like to install Oracle RAC 11g but i don't know if this is a good decision.
My intention is to install in this RAC 6 different instances to use for production and for development.
Could you help me?
