clone/restore production db to a different host using rman hot backup

 Our production database on host1 is running archivelog mode and is backed up to tape using veritas rman hot backup. I would like to test restore /recover strategy by clone this database to host2. Anyone know the protocol I can use running rman to restore and completely recover database on host2? Thanks.
