Consecutive OSP Operations in a Routing

 I have setup three operations in the following way:

• 10 - Internal Operation (Resource Charge Type = WIP Move)
• 20 - OSP Operation for first supplier (Resource Charge Type = PO Move)
• 30 - OSP Operation for second supplier (Resource Charge Type = PO Move)

I have setup a simple 3 level BOM in the following way:

Assembly
1 x Phantom Subassembly
2 x Components

In this way the assembly will be able to consume the components through the phantom subassembly. The OSP resource on Operation 20 is linked to the phantom subassembly, and the OSP resource on Operation 30 is linked to the assembly.

I now create a discrete WIP job for the assembly. I create a Move Transaction to move the qty from Operation 10 (Queue) to Operation 20 (Queue). This simultaneously consumes the components from inventory and auto-creates the Purchase Req and Purchase Order for the phantom subassembly.
