Limit maximum used cores / kernels to save licenses

   Hi I'm quite new in Oracle business and I find it difficult to see trough the jungle of oracle licence-models.... As I know license fees are owed by the amount of cores. So how can I (in a Windows environment) reduce the amount of used cores for Oracle in order to reduce license-costs? I have a server with 8 cores and I want to make sure that oracle uses only 4 of them.   Any help would be appreciated Stubi
