logical backup export issue

 Hi,

Our database is running on oracle 9.2.0.6.0 with OS windows 2000 server. Now we want to upgrade to 10g in RHEL 5. We decided to use export & import utilities since the DB size is small. When we tried to export the DB, it throws a strange error:-

exp:00008 Oracle error 21779 occured

ORA-21779 duration not active

exp:00056 Oracle error 31600 occured

ORA-31600 dbms_.....

export terminated unsuccessfully.

Can anybody faced this kind of errors.

Is there any other method/way to do cross platform upgradation?

I believe Cold/hot backup do not hold good since it is cross platform. 

An early response/help will be appreciable.
