INTER ORG TRANSFERS

Using intransit inventory shipments for inter org transfers.

Does anyone have any recommendations on how to check the intransit balance when a shipment has been sent from sending org but not yet received at receiving org?

The intransit value report doesn't appear to work right-also are there any shipping network accounts setup info that is recommended?
