OEM Grid Control Versions and backwards Compatibility

We are just starting to look at using OEM to handle our database monitoring (database crashes, space warnings, long sessions, etc) from a central monitoring server (Red Hat 5 64 bit). We would be using this to support multiple databases, including 8.1.7, various 9.2 versions and 10.2.0.3/10.2.0.4 on HPUX, Windows and Linux. As I prepare to install i see that there are a few versions of OEM Grid Control to download - 10.2.0.1 thru 10.2.0.5. My first concern is compatibility with the older databases (8.1.7 and 9.2). Is either one of these Grid Control versions better or required for monitoring these older versions, or could I
