restore and upgrade using rman

 source system:  Windows server database 9.2.0.8
target system: Windows server (64 bit)   database 10.2.0.3

I need to take an rman backup from the source and restore it on the target.  I can't seem to find anything on how to do that.  Can you point me at some documentation? 
I am assuming that I can restore the DB and then apply the  upgrade scripts but I'd like to see if there is anything I need to be aware of when I do this.
