Move/Clone existing Database instance without copying/moving the datafiles to another Home+Host 11G

 Hi,
I have a production machine which will be replaced soon. 1 instance are on a 11G Home on this machine and the datafiles located on a SAN.
The new machine has access to the SAN and i just want to install 11G on this machine (either from scrtach or cloning the existing home, which i've figured how to do) and setup the existing instance on the new Home/Host without copying the datafiles, i.e. using the already present files on the SAN. I "just" need to copy the instance definition in short.
Could this be done via OEM and database cloning (i cannot see how to avoid copying the files) or is it a much simpler way?

Howdy, Stranger!
