Project Home page to Simple Search Results Page

 All,

   Our requirement is to return a user to the search results page from project home page.

 If the user uses advanced search then then clicking the "Project List" link appearing on the top of the project home page returns the user to the advanced search results page where as it's not happening in case of Simple Search. Is there a way to return a user to the simple search results page from the project home page?

If anyone had similar requirement, please let me know how you acheieved this
