Rel 12 Functionality- Setting up multiple operating units with a shared inventory organization

We are currenly upgrading from Rel 11.5.10 to rel 12.0.6. The clinet has a design wehere they ahve a single Ledger for Canada and single Ledger for US. They have indicated that they wish to seperate by LE so that they can have a flows of cash between them. All the LE entites are goign to report to a single Ledger byu country.

1 Is it possible in Release 12  to configure  two operating units existing under different legal entities to access same operating units. Need to understand if this can be setup as per the new functionality in Release 12.

2. Can multiple OU's share an inventory org and if so is there an issue with PO and AP.
