How to delete a SAN Disk in Virtual Iron 4.4
This procedure is for versions 4.4 and later.
Before
you attempt to delete a disk on your storage system, you need to make
sure you remove the disk from Virtual Iron. To delete SAN disks from
Virtual Iron, you need make sure they are not connected to any of the
virtual servers first. Once the virtual servers are disconnected, you then need to delete
any logical disks and disk groups that use it. Then delete it from the
VI Center GUI, which will remove it from the managed nodes. Once
it is completely deleted from the Virtual Iron databases, it can then
be deleted from the SAN, using the normal SAN volume administration
tools.
