Logical standby - perfomance issues..

     Hi all,

    We're using Oracle 10.2.0.3  on AIX servers.  We have a physical standby running on the production side. Now  we're  trying to configure Logical standby database as a production reporting database, but  I have some concerns about peformance  issues.

   I read a lot of articles saying that  the performance effect on Production side is minimum, is it correct?  What are the main parameters I should  consider to tune both Primary&secondary side?  I'd appreciate if I can  get some opinions  from real experiences as well..

  Our critical patch update status is up to date..Are there any patches I have to apply  separatly? I checked metalink and found some patches but I just wanna make sure which are the most critical to apply?
