Problem while configuring VLM on 32-bit Linux environment

  I want to configure VLM setting on following environment,

OS : Red Hat Enterprise Linux WS release 4 (Nahant) - 32-bit

Database : 10.2.0.4


I have followed steps from "Doc ID:317141.1" till 11th steps,
After modifying init.ora when i start the instance its giving me following error,

SQL> startup
ORA-27102: out of memory
Linux Error: 22: Invalid argument


Can anybody pls help me to do VLM setting on 32-bit Linux environment?
