DataPump Import (impdp) sits at DOMAIN_INDEX/INDEX for hours

 I'm importing the Apex schema FLOWS_030100 into an 11g database (11.1.0.7 on OEL).  This is an import that used to take under an hour and recently it's been taking almost 12 hours to complete.  It seems it's stuck importing the indexes (Processing object type DATABASE_EXPORT/SCHEMA/TABLE/INDEX/DOMAIN_INDEX/INDEX).  Unfortunately this is not really a situation where I can simply exclude the indexes on import, then rebuild them later.  My main concern is that this is a relatively new thing.
There does not seem to be a lot of redo being generated which makes sense.  No errors in the alert log, in fact no entries in the alert log once the import gets to this part.  No trace files that I see either.
