Integration obtain data On-line outside OTM

How can we obtain data outside OTM Completely On-line? Can we use Saved Queries and <RemoteQuery> XML for executing saved queries and obtain the results on-line outside OTM? I think OTM can only send out RIQQuery and ShipmentQuery. Is that true o we can make ourselves new queries to obtain this data outside otm via xml on-line integration?
