Transfer of Assets between two books

Hi,

We have six active operating units which have separate asset books for each. We are currently in 11.5.8 version.There are frequent requirement for transfer of asset from one operating unit to the other due to business demands.

In such a situation, we are left with no other choice than to retire the asset to be transferred from asset book say A to asset book B, eventhough this route is only for operational convenience. The asset is not actually retired from the books. In such a case transferring the reserve in the new book is also a problem.

Is there any easier method to address such transfers ?
