What is a typical structure defined for Item Key flexfield for Contracting / Construction industry.

The peculiar thing for Interior Contracts industry is that most of the materials are not repeated and are used uniquely once in a project. Suggestions around this are welcome. The primary objective is to have a item structure which can help in

1. Capturing the material cost for project effectively
2. Streamlining the Procurement Cycle and help in achieving bulk discounts wherever applicable
