Real Application Testing - How to demo

edited Aug 20, 2009 3:02PM in Database Tuning (MOSC) 4 commentsAnswered
I'd like to prepare a demo of Real Application Testing for my DBAs.  However, due to separation of duties, I do not have access to exports of our production database instances, or the ability to start a RAT capture in our production environment.  I do have access to both of these in our development database instances.  However, the workload is very small in our development environment.

I'd like to run a capture in our development environment.  However, I'm having some difficulty creating, loading, and querying some dummy data in this environment.  Does anyone have a suggestion for a process to load dummy/test/example data and issue queries such that I can produce a reasonable capture of database activity?

Howdy, Stranger!
