Sequence number skips after upgrade from 9i to 10g

We have just completed a test upgrade environment from 9i to 10g and apps 11.5.5 to 11.5.10.    We have custom sequence from 9i DB created with NOCACHE option.  We didn't touch the definition of the sequence after the upgrade, but it's now generate skip value in NEXTVAL in 10g.    Has anyone run into this issue before and can you ofter suggestion?
