Rerating - Updates to the Original Event

When we do rerating of an event before billing, the  rerate_obj_id0 of the original is getting updated with the poid_id0 of the new event getting created due to rerating. In this scenarion, I have the below questions.

1. the MOD_T of the original event is not getting changed. Ideally the MOD_T should get changed when there is an update happening. Is this expected behaviour or a bug

2. How easily we can identify the events created due to rerating. One thing observed for these events is  BATCH_ID column gettign populated with a value something like 'Rerating_1268216211'. Can we use this value to identify the events created due to rerating.
