Applying CPUJul2009 to Data Guard configuration

I'm currently applying CPUJul2009 to our various systems, one of which is now running Data Guard to a Physical standby. This system is currently on 10.2.0.3, so I will need to upgrade to 10.2.0.4 and apply patch 8559466 (CPUJul2009 for Windows 32 bit). After reading up various bits of documentation, I think this could be done with the following steps:
- Switch standby to readonly mode
- Set service_names parameters so users connect to readonly copy
- Remove standby from configuation
- Shutdown and upgrade primary
- Set service_names parameters so users connect to primary again
- Shutdown and upgrade standby (software only, no upgrade scripts)
- Add standby back into configuration

Howdy, Stranger!
