Will the 9iR2 9.2.4.0 AMD64 for Linux x86-64 work on Red Hat Linux 5.3 64-bit?

 Hi,

I am trying to install 9iR2 client on my Sun Fire server running Red Hat Linux 5.3 64-bit.  On OTN http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/oracle9i/htdocs/linuxx8664soft.html

only database is available for download.  The download file names start with amd64.  The word 'amd' makes me wonder if the download is meant for PCs with AMD CPUs.  I need to use its imp/exp client tool for data migration from a 9iR2 database to an 11gR1 database.

Q1: Will this download work on my Sun Fire running Red Hat Linux?

Q2: Are there any installation tips that I need to know when installing the 9iR2 client on an existing 11gR1 database?
