Systematicly update Blanket releases

I am looking for a way to systematicly update blanket releases. The main two fields would be the need by date and Quantity. I tried to use the PO open Interface but I see that does not support the update of Releases. 
Does anybody have an idea how I can do this. We are currently working on ASCP which will fill most of our needs but I am lloking for something in the meantime.
