Multi Currency in Oracle 11i verses in 12i - is this a rework If we implement in 11i?

We had asked to implement the Oracle multi-currency in GL and subledger. I have the following questions and greatly appreciate your response,feed back and if any advise that may help us implement Oracle multi-currency:

Currently, we are on Oracle release 11.5.10.2 running GL, AP, PO,
FA, PO , AR, CE and Oracle Treasury application

1- Should we implement the multi-currency in our 11i release
or wait until migrate to Oracle 12i?
2- If we implement the multi-currency in 11i do we need to re do
some or all the multi-currency setup/configuration again in 12i?
3- Do we need to implement the multi currency in both GL and the
