Can CIP Clearing be the same account as Asset Clearing?

My company does not use the project module but we do like the CIP process and have tested that. We will have all of our assets go through Accounts Payable and are coded to the CIP clearing account. We will never have an asset immediately created as Capitalized. Therefore, we have no need for an asset clearing account, but it is a required field. It was suggested that I could just put my CIP clearing account as the asset clearing too, but I wanted to see if there were any problems with that? Would that cause any confusion or make
