Upgrade from Oracle9iR2 to Oracle10GR2 with same number of users and transaction - what is the raise
Hello,
My question is about raising the demands of CPU power and time and dynamic memory amount.
Anybody of you succeeded to estimate the raise in CPU time ( power) demand and the raise of dynamic memory amount demand
when upgrading from Oracle 9iR2 or Oracle10g R2 for the same operating system ( e.g. AIX 5.3 ) and same number of users and same transaction load level?
So operating system ( AIX 5.3 ), number of database users, transaction and query activities are constants ( no change before or after the upgrade ), response time
is also constant.
Oracle RDMS is variable...upgraded from 9iR2 to 10gR2.
