Why intercompany accounts are not in book control form in R12

 Hi,

I can see that intercompany accounts payables and receivables in book control form in Release 11i.In Release 11i Intercompany rules are defined in setup>Accounts>Intercompany.

In Release 12 Intercompany rules are defined in Accounting set up manager.

In both releases rules are defined in General ledger

Why intercompany account in book control form in FA is removed in R12?

Why it is defined in book control form in 11I?
