 Hi,

I have installed Grid Control onto a new Solaris 10 SPARC server and upgraded it to 10.2.0.3. This worked great but I still had my repository database at version 10.1.0.4. To upgrade this I was told I need to install 10.2.0.1 into a new Oracle Home directory and then use DBUA to upgrade the existing database from the new Oracle Home I have installed.

So to start with I had 3 Oracle homes:

/tpp/oracle/10.2.0/GridControl/db10g
/tpp/oracle/10.2.0/GridControl/oms10g
/tpp/oracle/10.2.0/GridControl/agent10g

Then I installed the new Oracle 10.2.0.1 into:

/tpp/oracle/10.2.0/GridControl/db10gr2

I then ran DBUA from here and chose my original database (created during the grid control install) to upgrade to 10.2.0.1.

Howdy, Stranger!
