Re-creating a 2 node RAC database after failing over to single instance physical standby

Hi,

we are on 9.2.0.7 running on windows. Primary database is 2 node RAC and the physical standby is single instance

we are NOT using RMAN and instead using user managed hot backups

we are in the middle of testing the switch over / failover scenarios on an identical TEST environment

The idea is to simulate the crash / failure of RAC shared storage and using that scenario, fail over to the single physical standby database

we could not somehow find a simple step by step document that illustrates on how to re-create the primary RAC environment after failing over to the single instance physical standby database. We think that the concepts would be as follows

Howdy, Stranger!
