RMAN Backup Questions (creating multiple backup copies)

I am fairly new to RMAN and have recently begun implementing an RMAN backup solution to run in tandem with our old export scheme while we work out the kinks.  I have a question related to creating multiple copies of a backupset.  We'd like to create two copies.  One to a local disk and a second onto a network share.  I've configured Oracle services to allow RMAN to create backups on a network share, and I've configured two channels to create the backup sets at both locations, but I'm missing the controlfile/spfile portion of the backup to the network share.  Is there a standard "best practices" for this type of operation?  I am currently
