No approval groups defined yet everything works fine

 Hi     I was setting up PO in a TEST system. Inadvertently I skipped the step of defining and assigning "Approval Groups"
Inspite of this everything is working fine i.e. I create a Requisition approve it (uses AME) and then create a PO and then approve it

What approval limits does it take in the absence of Approval groups and assignment

Does this mean that the approvers have unlimited authority to approve

Also user guide mentions that defining approval groups is a required step
